Al-Nabulsi said: If a person sees a caliph as befits him, or sees himself become caliph, it signifies the beauty of his state and that his end will be good.
Seeing oneself appointed by Allah Most High as caliph on earth signifies, if the dreamer is worthy, that he will be raised to the office of governor.
If he is not worthy, it is a sign of strife that will break out in that place.
If a person sees himself become caliph, it signifies, if he is worthy, attaining dominion; if he is fit to judge, becoming a judge, or becoming an imam or governor.
If he is not fit for the matters listed above, the person who sees this dream will fall ill or travel to a distant place.
It has been said: Seeing oneself become caliph or imam signifies honor and distinction.
If he is fit for the caliphate, he will attain leadership.
