Miserliness
Classical interpretations
Miserliness is a trait condemned among people and not accepted. For this reason, seeing oneself act miserly in a dream is interpreted as an incurable illness. Sometimes miserliness is also a sign of hypocrisy and of deeds that will bring their owner near to Hell. Indeed, in the noble hadith it is said: "Miserliness is a tree in Hell; whoever clings to it goes to Hell." Again, miserliness in a dream signifies a man who cuts down and straitens the maintenance of his wife and children and causes the ruin of his wealth and children. Whoever wants his hand and heart to be filled with blessings, let him do good and be generous. The generous are worthy of praise.
Seeing a bad state in a dream and spending wealth signifies that one's appointed time is drawing near.
Seeing in a dream this state, another name for which is stinginess, is a sign that matters will become difficult and that poverty and hardship are at the door.
Seeing oneself keep company with a stingy man in a dream signifies that the coming days are full of straitened circumstances and anguish.
