Seeing cooked meat in a dream signifies lawful wealth. For meat is eaten only when it is cooked.

Seeing raw meat, however, is a sign of pain, illness, and suffering.

Seeing fresh meat is also a sign of death and of backbiting. His holiness Ja'far al-Sadiq says: Seeing meat in a dream is interpreted in four ways: a) wealth, b) inheritance, c) sorrow, d) calamity...

Seeing meat cooked in a pot signifies provision and blessing. If a person sees the meat of a bird, it is a sign of much travel and of gaining benefit. Sometimes seeing oneself eat the meat of a bird signifies Paradise and the good and righteous deeds that bring a person near to Paradise. If a poor man sees food cooked with meat, it signifies wealth.

Seeing food cooked without meat, however, is a sign of worship and of need. Daniel (peace be upon him) said: Seeing and eating cooked meat signifies goodness and benefit that come about in a pleasant way; seeing and eating roasted meat signifies pain, illness, and suffering, and wealth earned with hardship. If a person sees himself eat his own flesh, it is a sign of backbiting his family and relatives and of doing something he will regret. It has been said: Meat cooked in a pot is provision and blessing.

Seeing oneself cook meat as a kebab signifies unlawful wealth.

Seeing ram's meat as a kebab is a sign of the dreamer's illness; seeing lamb and kid meat, of the illness of his child or servant; and seeing ewe's meat, of the illness of his wife or mother.

Abu Sa'id al-Wa'iz said: Seeing a piece of meat whose kind is unclear signifies calamity; seeing fresh meat, death; salted meat, blessing after calamity; and minced meat signifies loss and harm.

Seeing pastirma in a dream has been interpreted as backbiting the dead.

Seeing chicken meat is a sign of benefiting through a woman.

Seeing beef signifies toil, hardship, and doing little work. If a person sees duck meat or eats it, it signifies benefit that will come from devout and righteous men.

Seeing oneself eat cooked meat with an old man signifies that the dreamer's standing and renown will be exalted in the presence of sultans.

Seeing roasted beef is a sign of being safe from fear. Sometimes this dream also signifies provision, cheapness, and plenty. It has been said: Whoever sees himself eat ox meat will be taken before a judge.

Seeing human flesh in a dream is interpreted as prevailing over an enemy.

Seeing unidentified meat and blood also signifies prevailing, but also strife. Al-Nabulsi said: If a person sees his own flesh turn black and blue, or cut into pieces and fall to the ground, this dream is a sign of severe torment that will befall that person or of an illness he will catch.
