Seeing oneself very glad, with one's inner self and heart opened, in a dream is a sign of repenting of sin and of the acceptance of repentance. If a person who is in sorrow, grief, and hardship sees this dream, it signifies deliverance from hardship and sorrow. If the state of relief a person sees in a dream is because of wealth his heart is not content with, then this dream is a sign of sorrow and grief. Sometimes relief is also interpreted as staying away from worship and obedience. Again, if the relief seen in a dream is because of good news, such as the recovery of a sick person, the release of a prisoner, or a wronged person reaching safety, this dream signifies things that call for rejoicing and good states. His holiness Ibn Sirin said: Seeing oneself made glad by someone in a dream signifies being afflicted with sadness and grief.

Ja'far al-Sadiq also said: Seeing relief and gladness without cause in a dream signifies that the dreamer's appointed time is near. It has also been said: Relief and gladness in a dream are not good. Whoever sees himself relieved and glad in his dream will fall into anxiety and grief.
