Nudity

Nakedness seen in a dream is a sign of the soundness of one's inner self and of a good state. Sometimes it also signifies something that will cause a person regret. It has been said: Seeing one's body naked but one's private parts covered signifies attaining pardon and forgiveness, and finding victory. Jabir al-Maghribi said: "Nakedness, especially if the private parts are wholly uncovered, is trial and disgrace. If a woman sees her private parts uncovered and naked in a dream, it signifies her being disgraced and shamed before all people, and trial and grief."

Seeing oneself naked in a gathering is a sign of disgrace and shame for that person. If a sick man sees himself take off a yellow garment in a dream, it signifies recovering from illness.

Taking off a red or black garment is interpreted the same way. If a grieved and sorrowful man is seen naked in a dream, it is a sign that he will now be freed from sorrow. People of worship and obedience being seen naked in a dream is a sign of their devoutness and of their doing much good. If a person sees himself naked, ashamed before people, and looking for something to cover himself but unable to find it, it signifies harm, loss, and poverty.

Seeing people look at one's private parts signifies dismissal from office for a governor or a state official. A dead person being seen in a dream naked with his private parts covered signifies that the dead person left the world without reward but will be blessed with the blessings of Paradise. If a woman sees herself take off a black garment and remain naked, it is a sign of reaching light and relief after darkness. If the woman who sees the dream is black, it is interpreted as a dark night; if she is white, as a moonlit night. Kirmani said: "Seeing oneself naked and undressed for some task, if the task belongs to religion (such as the major ablution), signifies reaching goodness and worship."

Seeing oneself undress in a mosque signifies stripping oneself of sins, and repentance. Again, if a woman sees herself naked in a dream, it is not a sign of good. If she is married, she will be divorced or meet some other calamity.

Seeing oneself naked signifies soundness and purity of one's inner state. If people devoted to worship and obedience see themselves naked, it signifies religiosity and abundant goodness.
