Classical interpretations

Seeing a nightingale in a dream is a sign of a rich person who owns wealth and property, or of a cheerful rich woman. Sometimes seeing a nightingale is also interpreted as a child who recites the Noble Qur'an. If a person sees a nightingale in a dream, it signifies a child who speaks very well, with a fine voice and fine words, or a friend who has such a blessing.

Seeing a nightingale in one's house is a proof of having a friend with these qualities. Again, seeing oneself buy a nightingale or be given one as a gift signifies a good child and a loyal friend.

Eating nightingale meat in a dream is interpreted as an inheritance.

Seeing a nightingale die or fly away in one's house signifies separation from a loyal friend or from one's child.

Abu Sa'id al-Wa'iz said: Seeing a nightingale in a dream signifies a rich person, a rich woman, and a child who memorizes the Noble Qur'an.

Seeing a nightingale signifies a child who speaks eloquently, has a beautiful voice, and speaks well.

Seeing a nightingale in one's home signifies such a child or a friend who speaks beautifully.

Abu Sa'id al-Wa'iz said that seeing a nightingale is interpreted in four ways: a wealthy person, a wealthy and chaste woman, a memorizer of the Qur'an, and a righteous child.
