Needle

For an unmarried person, seeing a needle signifies marriage; for a poor person it signifies improvement of condition and provision.

Taking a needle into one's hand signifies that affairs will be put in order and that scattered matters will be gathered and corrected. Sewing with a needle likewise signifies improvement of one's condition and the bringing together of disordered affairs. Losing a needle or having it stolen signifies that affairs are beginning to deteriorate. Because thread is passed through it, the needle may also signify a woman; it can also signify a man or woman with whom one gets along well. A large sewing needle is interpreted similarly. For a married person, having such a needle in one's hand signifies a daughter; if the wife is not pregnant, it signifies travel. Sewing one's own clothes signifies wealth for the poor, the gathering of scattered affairs, and correction of a bad condition.

Eating a needle signifies revealing a secret to someone who will cause harm. Pricking another person with a needle signifies speaking ill of that person; afterward the dreamer will be subjected to the same and spoken ill of by others. Sewing torn, old, or ripped clothing firmly with a needle signifies repentance from backbiting and evil, or seeking forgiveness for one's sins.
