Classical interpretations

If a person sees a minbar in a dream, it signifies eminence, the community of Islam, and the lofty station mentioned by exalted Allah in His Book.

Seeing oneself sleep on a minbar signifies coming under the protection of the head of state and being safe from fears.

Ja'far al-Sadiq said: Seeing a minbar in a dream is interpreted in five ways: a) a sultan, b) a judge, c) an imam, d) a preacher, e) a high rank. If a person sees himself climb a minbar and speak there about kindness, goodness, and truth, it signifies attaining blessing and state power, and a good reputation. Sometimes seeing a minbar also signifies governorship, crushing enemies, and strength and power.

Seeing the head of state on a minbar signifies the continuation of his state and sovereignty and his prevailing over his enemies. If a person sees himself address the people from a minbar with his hands behind his back, it signifies that he will be executed or that he is a wicked man.
