Face

Redness of the face seen in a dream is interpreted as honor and esteem. If a person sees his face red and clear in a dream, it is a sign of being remembered in the world with honor and goodness, and of renown and fame. Some have said: If there is redness together with whiteness in the face, the dreamer will attain honor and relief. Again, redness seen in the face signifies the recovery of the sick, the return of the traveller, and respect and esteem.

Seeing oneself put something red on one's face as women put on their faces is interpreted as a shameful sin before the people. It is even feared that the dreamer will commit adultery. Again, if a person sees his body and face flushed red, it is a sign that sorrow and grief will continue for a long time.

Seeing one's face beautiful signifies being in a good condition in the world, being upon goodness, glad tidings, and joy.

Seeing one's face bright and cheerful signifies a good condition, righteousness in religion, good character, and joy. Kirmani said that seeing the face signifies adornment and livelihood.

Seeing one's face black while the body is white signifies that one's inward state is better than one's outward state, meaning the heart is pure and clear.

Seeing one's face white while the body is black signifies that one's outward state is better than one's inward state.

Seeing the face, as a countenance, is interpreted in three ways: wealth, high position, and a beautiful wife.

Seeing the face white with a reddish hue signifies health and well-being; wheat-colored or dark-complexioned signifies prosperity and livelihood; green like emerald signifies that the soul is adorned with faith and Islam.

Seeing one's face become large signifies attaining high rank and position.

Seeing one's face and the beard upon it signifies purity of heart and righteousness in religion.

Seeing oneself frown and make the face ugly signifies losing one's position and telling lies.

Seeing the face crack or split signifies shamelessness.

Seeing oneself with two faces signifies, in accordance with the hadith stating that Allah does not look upon the two-faced, that the dreamer's end will be bad.

Seeing one's face sweat signifies modesty and faith. At times yellowness of the face signifies love and affection; it is also said to signify humiliation and jealousy, and sometimes hypocrisy, because yellowness is interpreted as illness and illness as hypocrisy.

Seeing one's face turn yellow signifies much worship, remembrance, and prostration, in accordance with the verse whose meaning is, "Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration" (Qur'an 48:29).

Seeing a woman's face blackened with soot signifies the death of her husband. If a woman sees herself applying powder and kohl to her face, it signifies goodness for herself and her husband and concern for facial beauty.

Seeing hair grow on a part of the face where hair does not normally grow signifies debt and loss of fame and position.

Seeing one's face sour or scowling signifies that the dreamer will have a daughter, because people often desire their children to be male.
