Divine light

Seeing light and illumination signifies Islam and guidance. If a polytheist sees himself emerge from darkness into light, it signifies being honored with faith and Islam.

Seeing light and radiance also signifies repentance after disobedience, insight after wrongdoing, knowledge and wisdom, and turning toward Almighty God.

Seeing oneself leave light and enter darkness is interpreted as the opposite: the person becomes one of the people of religious innovation, falls into poverty after wealth, humiliation after honor, and misguidance after guidance. Sometimes seeing light signifies righteous and beautiful deeds, knowledge, the Qur'an, a righteous child, and a scholar.

Seeing oneself wrapped in a garment of light or wearing a shirt made of light signifies beneficial knowledge. If a woman sees light shining from her breast, it signifies that she will have a righteous and learned child from whom everyone will benefit. The source says the same interpretation applies to a man.
