Darbuka drum

If a person sees a darbuka in a dream, or hears it played, or plays it himself, it is interpreted as good. For pilgrim caravans play the darbuka along with the takbirs as they go to Arafat. Again, seeing a darbuka in a dream is a sign of pleasing news.

Seeing oneself play a darbuka that makes no sound, however, signifies news that brings sorrow and grief. Sometimes seeing a darbuka is also a sign of being slandered.
