Bell
Classical interpretations
If a person sees a bell in a dream, it signifies becoming friends with a worthless person.
Seeing a bell is also interpreted as fame. If a person sees the bell that Christians ring to announce their times of worship, it signifies a broker, a wife who has children, or a muezzin. If a person sees himself ring a bell, it is interpreted as spreading false and evil news among the people. Sometimes seeing a bell is also a sign of notoriety and disgrace. Again, seeing a bell is counted as signifying becoming companions with a worthless person. It has been said: A bell seen in a dream is a hypocritical man.
Seeing oneself ring a bell in a church belonging to the Christians is a sign of swearing oaths in trade. A bell seen in a dream also signifies the one who announces everything on behalf of the ruler. Little bells and small chimes seen on the necks of animals signify a charitable man.
Hearing the sound of a bell, however, signifies going from one place to another. Again, bells seen in a dream are a sign of those who call to prayer, or of getting ready to meet enemies. Sometimes bells are also a sign of books whose rulings have been abrogated, or of past peoples and their customs. In short, since the bell is a thing particular to Christians, it does not merit dwelling on at great length.
