Cistern

Seeing a cistern in a dream is interpreted in four ways: a wife, a purse, a treasury, and a chest.

Seeing oil, honey, or milk inside a cistern signifies that the dreamer's wife is pregnant or that useful things will increase and multiply. A cistern also signifies making difficult matters easy, honor, elevation, fame, and safety from fear and hardship.

Seeing the cistern of a mosque signifies the mosque's imam, while the cistern of an inn or dervish lodge signifies those who care for it.

Seeing oneself fully satisfied with water while having a cistern signifies preferring this world to the Hereafter, or being like those who do not act upon their knowledge. At times, this dream signifies lack of rain and spending money because of drought.

Seeing olive oil in a water cistern signifies the wealth of the cistern's owner; seeing water in an olive-oil cistern signifies that olive oil will become scarce and difficult to obtain.
