Seeing a minaret signifies calling people to the Truth and reconciling people, because the call to the Truth is made from the minaret five times a day.

Ibn Sirin said that seeing a minaret signifies a person who calls people to good, while building or restoring a minaret signifies doing good and the gathering of beneficent people and a group of Muslims for a good purpose. Demolishing a minaret signifies committing an evil deed that will distress Muslims.

Seeing a minaret fall and be ruined without any cause signifies the dispersion and ruin of the people of that place or the death of the muezzin.

Ja'far al-Sadiq said that a minaret is interpreted in four ways: the head of state; a person of high standing; an imam; and a muezzin.

Seeing a new minaret built in a place signifies the arrival there of a great and highly esteemed person. Remembering God Most High on a minaret signifies fame and elevation in the world. Climbing a wooden minaret and calling the prayer from it signifies authority, strength, and elevation. Falling from a minaret into a well signifies marrying a wicked and evil woman in addition to an already pious and beautiful wife, or the loss of one's authority and blessings.
