Scribe

Seeing a scribe signifies a deceitful and deceptive man. If someone whose profession is writing sees his handwriting become ugly, it signifies repentance.

Seeing the scribes of the head of state, or taking on their appearance and qualities, signifies elevation in rank and prestige and improvement in one's condition. Al-Nabulsi said that seeing the recording angels, Kiraman Katibin, brings good tidings to a pious and God-fearing person, signifies ease in worldly and otherworldly affairs, and indicates that the person is among the people of Paradise. If the dreamer is not pious, he should guard against all evil, in accordance with the Qur'anic verse meaning, 'There are noble scribes before God' (al-Infitar 82:11).

Seeing prose scribes signifies dignity, elevation, prestige and honor, fulfillment of needs, understanding, eloquence, provision, benefit, wives, children, parents, and servants.

Seeing people on the road who write petitions and documents signifies the police and a bloodletter.

Seeing oneself become a scribe in a government office signifies benefit, provision, and wealth coming from somewhere. Sometimes seeing a scribe signifies people engaged in agriculture.

Seeing confidential secretaries signifies incoming news, increase and decrease, persistence, and becoming acquainted with hidden secrets.

Seeing a writer signifies good news, people who keep records, and an intelligent person who distinguishes good from bad.
