Seeing oneself afraid signifies deliverance from oppressors and safety and security. Al-Nabulsi said that cowardice in a dream signifies avoiding unlawful and ugly things in one's earnings, or understanding commands and prohibitions in war. Fear also signifies security and deliverance. Sometimes fear signifies repentance, because one who thinks about tomorrow prepares his affairs today and corrects his mistakes. It has been said that seeing oneself afraid and fleeing out of fear signifies becoming a leader over people. If a person sees that someone warns him to fear God Most High but he himself is not afraid, this is harmful and bad for him, while the person who warns him will attain deliverance and goodness.
