Butcher

Seeing a butcher is interpreted as Azrael, the Angel of Death, because butchers take the lives of animals. Sometimes seeing a butcher signifies strength and power. Killing a butcher signifies recovery and healing from illness. For someone who is sorrowful, distressed, troubled, or imprisoned, seeing a butcher signifies good and relief from distress. Sometimes a butcher signifies ship owners or a person who divides property among heirs and orphans. Al-Nabulsi said that seeing itinerant butchers signifies severity and harm. For the sick it signifies that death is near; for the wealthy, harm and hardship that will befall them; for people who are wailing, an increase in their wailing; and for debtors and those in bonds, payment of debts and release from bonds.
