Saw

Cutting something with a saw signifies attainment of one's desire.

Ja'far al-Sadiq interprets a saw through child, brother, sister, and wife. Sawing wood signifies victory over an enemy; holding a saw signifies a new undertaking. Kirmani says being given or holding a saw may signify a child; if the dreamer already has a son, another son, and if unmarried, marriage.

Seeing a saw in a dream signifies a judge who separates two enemies. A saw also signifies trade, buying and selling, and a balance. At times it signifies help, strength, and provision.

Seeing a wood saw signifies a scholar, imam, or leader. Because a saw enters wood, it can also signify marriage to a woman from the People of the Book. At times, seeing a saw signifies a man who divides things and separates husband and wife. For an unmarried man, seeing a saw signifies marriage.

Seeing a saw used to cut marble signifies a deficiency in proof and evidence. A saw for hard wood signifies millers, sieve makers, and people of a similar lower social class, according to the source.
