Seeing a belt signifies a woman who possesses a dowry or children. For those who own servants, a belt signifies their servants; for others, it signifies adornment and wealth in proportion to the value of the belt.

Abu Sa'id al-Wa'iz said that seeing a belt is interpreted as one's father, paternal uncle, child, a notable person, or someone from whom one will receive assistance in one's affairs.

Taking a belt with the right hand signifies travel; taking it with the left hand signifies public office.

Seeing a jeweled belt signifies attaining a great position. Being given a belt is interpreted in three ways: children, wealth, and long life. Fastening a belt around one's waist signifies a good journey during which the dreamer will attain dignity and honor.
