Oath

Seeing oneself swear an oath signifies keeping one's word and being safe from fear, provided the oath is made concerning something true. Swearing falsely signifies humiliation and poverty.

Seeing oneself swear falsely signifies poverty, humiliation, deprivation, and deceit, for falsehood and faith do not remain together. Swearing to something true signifies victory and speaking the truth; swearing by Allah Most High, or swearing an oath for which expiation is required, signifies following the Truth and adhering to the noble Sunnah. Swearing by the cross, the stars, the sun, the sea, or similar things signifies misguidance, hypocrisy, breaking one's word, and evil.
