Seeing a green curtain signifies goodness, praise, a good end, joy, and happiness.
Seeing a torn curtain is interpreted as joy, relief, and happiness. A curtain torn lengthwise signifies relief and joy that will appear quickly. At times, a curtain signifies concealing affairs, a friend who watches over secrets, or a wife who hides her possessions from people and restrains herself from looking at others. Jabir al-Maghribi said that for a ruler, seeing a new curtain signifies relief and happiness, while for subjects and ordinary people it signifies grief and sorrow; an old curtain signifies grief and sorrow for the ruler and relief and happiness for the people and subjects.
Seeing a curtain removed from its place and carried away signifies that grief, sorrow, severity, and fear will be lifted from the owner of that curtain.
Seeing a curtain over the door of a house signifies grief and sorrow coming through women. A new curtain means lasting sorrow. If a person who is fleeing, being sought, or afraid sees a curtain over a throne, it signifies that he will be kept hidden and remain safe.
Seeing a black curtain signifies grief and sorrow coming from the ruler. The heavier and more doubled the curtain is, the more severe the interpretation in terms of sorrow.
Seeing a curtain over the door of any mosque signifies grief and sorrow in religious matters.
