Seeing the crescent moon signifies a good child. It also signifies public office, earnings in trade, profit, and benefit.
Seeing a number of crescents gathered in one place signifies that the dreamer will perform the pilgrimage, in accordance with the verse, 'They ask you about the new moons...' (Qur'an 2:189).
Seeing the crescent fall to the ground signifies a newborn child. The crescent also signifies victory over an enemy, power and strength, and the arrival of the appointed time for deferred matters. At times it signifies a king, an emir, a commander, a newborn child, or a good deed that will be done suddenly.
Seeing the crescent during the pilgrimage season or on the days of pilgrimage signifies going on Hajj.
Seeing the moon in crescent form outside its proper time signifies joyful news containing relief, the return of an absent person, or the acquisition of wealth.
Seeing a crescent that many people are looking at but cannot see, while the dreamer alone sees it, signifies that the dreamer's death is near.
Seeing the crescent on its first night signifies that one's wife will become pregnant, or, if she is already pregnant, that she will give birth to a boy. The crescent also signifies repentance for the disobedient, becoming Muslim for a non-Muslim, release for a prisoner, recovery for the sick, and relief from distress.
