Church

Seeing a church in a dream signifies places described as haunts of devils and jinn, such as refuse heaps and bathhouses. The newness and height of a church signifies weakness in religion and the distress of Muslims. If a Muslim sees a church destroyed, burned, or struck by a calamity, it signifies the elevation of the declaration of divine unity and the downfall of the people of polytheism and hypocrisy. For a Christian, seeing a church, unlike for a Muslim, signifies knowledge, good deeds, piety, and reverent fear. Sometimes seeing a church signifies sorrow, grief, distress, lies, slander, and false accusation. Al-Nabulsi said: 'If a person sees his own house become a church, his speech resembles the speech of Christians, and his house becomes a gathering place for those who follow their lower desires and whims and for people who commit innovations and sins. Sometimes the dreamer will be rebuked by his superior.' Seeing a dead person buried inside a church signifies that the person is imprisoned in Hell together with sinful people.

Seeing a church is also interpreted in seven ways: a cemetery, a brothel, a tavern, centers of innovation and unbelief, houses of music and play, Hell, and prison.

Entering a church while refusing the actions and practices of Christians and instead remembering God Most High signifies power, dignity, and commanding everyone to do good.
