Sieve

Seeing a sieve signifies earnings, work, and lawful wealth.

Abu Sa'id al-Wa'iz says it signifies a person through whose hands lawful and honorable wealth passes.

Ja'far al-Sadiq interprets the sieve as a reforming person, an interfering wife, a servant of bad character, and slight benefit.

Seeing a sieve signifies knowledge, distinguishing good from evil, dignity and rank, and separating truth from falsehood. A sieve is also interpreted in four ways: (a) a good and diligent servant, (b) a compassionate friend, (c) an obedient student, and (d) an intelligent man.

Seeing a sieve torn or lost signifies the death of a servant or wife. Sometimes seeing a sieve signifies a goldsmith, or a God-fearing person who distinguishes and chooses between words and deeds in his earnings and trade.

Seeing someone sift something with a sieve signifies a person who, through his knowledge and through commanding and forbidding, distinguishes truth from falsehood.
