Seeing a necklace around one's neck in a dream is interpreted as stinginess. Sometimes a necklace is a sign that a wife will constantly respect her husband through the kindness she shows him, and of wealth from her husband's property that will be in the wife's hands. If a married woman sees a necklace, it is interpreted as her husband. If the necklace seen is of silver, broad, and strong, it signifies that her husband is a manly, gentle, and wealthy person; if the necklace is lost, it then signifies that her husband is a worthless man.

Ja'far al-Sadiq said: If the necklace seen is of gold and partly of other things, it signifies the pilgrimage; if it is entirely of gold, it signifies authority and office.

Seeing a necklace is a sign, for a man, of marrying a beautiful woman. If there is also a silver collar with the necklace, the rubies and jewels on the necklace signify the woman's beauty. If the necklace seen is of silver and jewels, it is a sign of power together with wealth and comfort; if it is of iron, it is a sign of office together with strength. For a woman, a necklace in a dream is the property her husband has entrusted to her. For a pregnant woman, seeing a necklace signifies that the child to be born will be a boy. Sometimes, for a woman, seeing a necklace signifies a red veil and headscarf. The necklace dream also signifies a child for a married woman and marriage for an unmarried woman.

Possessing a necklace signifies joy and happiness. For a woman, seeing a necklace signifies daughters connected with a person who sells ornaments and jewels. If the necklace she sees is made of jewels and precious stones, she will marry a man of high standing, bear sons by him, and attain the pearl of her desire. For men, seeing a necklace signifies whooping cough.
