Seeing hair signifies wealth and long life.

Seeing one's hair straight and curly signifies honor and good fortune.

Ja'far al-Sadiq said that seeing oneself shave the hair of the head is interpreted in four ways: pilgrimage; travel; honor and office; and rank.

Seeing hair in the ear signifies knowledge or words that will be heard.

Seeing oneself cut and shorten the hair during the pilgrimage season signifies goodness and safety. For a person who is distressed and sorrowful, seeing the hair thick signifies an increase in grief and sorrow; for those who are joyful, thick hair signifies an increase in their joy.

Seeing the hair at the front of the head disheveled and untidy signifies humiliation and distress.

Seeing the hair of the armpit grow long signifies attainment of one's wish and desire and soundness in religion.

Seeing hair grow in an unsuitable place such as the palm of the hand or the sole of the foot signifies disturbance of the dreamer's comfort or undertaking an action in which Allah's pleasure is absent. At times, beautiful hair signifies righteous deeds; at times, its length and being braided signifies composing metered and rhymed poetry.

Seeing the eyebrows, eyelashes, and hair of the arms, chest, and calves signifies adornment, strength, and lasting wealth for men.

Seeing one's hair become like animal hair signifies toil and hardship. For a married man to see hair grow on his body signifies that his wife is pregnant.

For a woman to see her hair black as coal signifies becoming wealthy through her husband's property.

Seeing oneself cut one's own hair signifies falling from rank and office.
