Prostration of recitation
Classical interpretations
Reciting the verse of prostration in Surat al-A'raf and then prostrating signifies preserving the duty of commanding what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and elevation of one's standing. Reciting a verse of prostration and then prostrating signifies the dreamer's perseverance in obedience and worship and truthfulness in speech. Reciting the verse of prostration in Surat al-Isra and prostrating signifies weeping greatly out of fear of Allah and remembering one's Lord frequently. Likewise, reciting the verse of prostration in Surat Maryam and then prostrating signifies attaining blessing, abundance, elevation in this world and the Hereafter, and happiness in the Hereafter. The interpretations of all the verses of prostration in the Noble Qur'an are nearly alike and signify goodness, blessing, mercy, deliverance, and happiness in this world and the Hereafter. For this reason, all of the verses of prostration are not listed here.
