Taking dough to an oven and having it baked signifies fulfillment of needs, recovery from illness, and goodness. The oven may signify the head of the household or a servant who organizes family affairs; it may also signify a chest, storehouse, or safe that preserves the household's property and secrets. A known oven signifies one's shop, garden, livelihood, grain, or position, and may reflect good or bad, increase or decrease, or employment. An unknown oven signifies the ruler's palace or a judge's house and may also signify a street or road. Sending barley or wheat flour to an unknown oven signifies illness or death. Building an oven signifies providing benefit to the local people. Kneading dough in an oven signifies profit from one's work; baking bread and distributing it signifies great goodness and spiritual reward. The oven generally may signify profit, benefit, goodness, and blessing.
Oven and tandoor
Heating a tandoor or oven signifies trade in one's property and personal benefit. Lighting a tandoor may signify appointment as governor for one qualified, or defeating an enemy. Owning a serviceable tandoor signifies, in the source's wording, marriage to an unsuitable woman. Warming oneself beside a tandoor in winter signifies clothing and obtaining and eating fruit out of season.
