Cradle

Classical interpretations

Buying a cradle or being inside one signifies goodness and blessing. For an unmarried man, buying or receiving a cradle signifies marriage. At times a cradle signifies sorrow, distress, hardship, and crying. Breaking or selling a cradle is unfavorable; if it breaks by itself and the dreamer has a child, it signifies the child's death. Placing a child in a cradle and rocking it signifies treating one's spouse and children well, while taking the child out signifies a deficiency in care and compassion toward one's household and relatives.
