File (Tool)

Ibn Sirin says holding a file tool signifies that difficult affairs will become easier. Filing iron with difficulty signifies hard work and loss. A coarse file signifies harsh speech and a fine file gentle speech. A file breaking into pieces signifies affairs reaching an impasse that cannot be repaired. Jabir al-Maghribi says filing an iron or similar household object signifies doing good to those under one's care and setting the affairs of the household right.
