Broom

Seeing a broom signifies a servant. A hard broom represents a disobedient servant; a soft broom, an obedient one. A broom may also signify a female servant. Sweeping one's house with a broom signifies poverty. It has been said that sweeping a house signifies the death of a sick person in that house or that person's removal to another house. At times, a broom signifies the departure of sorrow, grief, and distress and the coming of relief and joy.
