Caliph

Seeing a caliph smiling signifies goodness, blessing, honor, and dignity in this world and the next. If a caliph commands the dreamer to do something lawful, it signifies elevation of honor and reputation. Al-Nabulsi says seeing a caliph properly, or becoming one if qualified, signifies a good state and good outcome. The caliph may signify one who enforces religious law; defects seen in him are related to that function. Being appointed by God as caliph on earth signifies governorship if qualified, otherwise a trial in that place. The dream may also signify following the Sunnah, piety, retreat for worship, truthfulness, voluntary worship, remembrance, repentance, and inward purification. Becoming caliph can signify rule, judgeship, leadership, or governorship for one qualified; for one unqualified it may signify illness or travel. Killing the caliph signifies seeking and attaining a great matter, while the caliph's death or altered appearance signifies deficiency in what he represents.
