Rain

Rain in a dream signifies goodness and provision if it causes no harm.

Ibn Sirin said: Washing oneself with rainwater signifies safety from fear; hearing sound from the raindrops signifies honor, lofty rank, and becoming famous among people. Rain is also interpreted as goodness, blessing, provision, bounty, and mercy, because rain is Allah's mercy.

Seeing rain reach oneself very quickly signifies pleasant and abundant provision without distress.

Seeing rain fall only on one's own house signifies benefit, goodness, provision, kindness, and mercy. For farmers, seeing rain signifies glad tidings, abundant crops, and expanded provision.

Seeing honey, milk, oil, or olive oil rain down from the sky signifies goodness for all people.

Seeing swords rain down from the sky signifies warfare, fighting, and hostility that will afflict people.

Seeing melons and watermelons rain from the sky signifies illness among the people.

Seeing blood and stones rain from the sky likewise signifies punishment, calamity, and devastation.

Ja'far al-Sadiq said: Seeing snow fall from the sky is interpreted in six ways: abundant provision, life, much wealth, low prices, benefit, and goodness. At times, seeing rain signifies disasters and calamities such as locusts, hail, and violent winds. Rain may also signify tribulations and bloodshed. If a sinful and rebellious person sees himself perform a full ritual bath or ablution with falling rainwater, it signifies repentance and returning to the Truth; if an unbeliever sees the same dream, it signifies becoming Muslim. Rain has been interpreted in many different ways. It also signifies the mercy of Allah Most High, the true religion of Islam, the relief and help granted by the Exalted Lord, the Qur'an, knowledge and wisdom, and the light of spiritual understanding and knowledge.

Seeing water flow from the sky like rain signifies illness and punishment occurring in that place.

Drinking pure and clear rainwater signifies goodness and blessing.

Ja'far al-Sadiq said: Seeing rain is interpreted in ten ways: mercy, blessing, illness, affliction, sinfulness, tribulation, faith, unbelief, falsehood, and drought. Gentle and beneficial rain signifies goodness and blessing; violent, flood-like rain signifies grief, sorrow, and calamity.
