Classical interpretations

Seeing a male camel signifies grief and sorrow; if it causes hardship, the dreamer suffers hardship from an enemy in proportion. Owning a she-camel signifies sovereignty and power and may also signify a good outcome and well-being in religion and worldly life.

Ibn Sirin says riding a camel swiftly signifies travel. Camel caravans in winter signify rain; camel wool signifies wealth that does not last. Al-Nabulsi says a male camel may signify a dwelling or ship, resentment, delayed revenge, and a very patient person. A woman without a husband riding a camel signifies marriage, and for a married woman whose husband is away, his return. Daniel says an angry camel signifies a person of high standing, while owning many camels may signify governorship or much good.

Abu Sa'id al-Wa'iz says riding one may signify Hajj, dismounting illness during travel, falling from it danger and error, and two camels fighting war between two states. Milk flowing from a she-camel signifies a year of abundance; milking a camel signifies wealth and provision, while milking blood signifies unlawful wealth. Subduing a raging camel signifies victory over an enemy, and sacrificing a male camel signifies comfort, joy, and victory.
