Prostration
Classical interpretations
Seeing oneself prostrate in a manner pleasing to Allah signifies victory over an enemy, attaining triumph, forgiveness of sins, and a good end. Bowing, prostrating, and praying to Allah Most High signifies humility and submission before Allah. Such a person becomes free of arrogance and pride, fulfills Allah's limits and obligations, quickly attains what he desires in religion and worldly life, and overcomes his enemy. If a sinful person sees himself prostrate, it signifies repentance from his sins; he repents, escapes dangers, and attains the desire of his heart. Prostrating to other than Allah, or falling on one's face without intending prostration, signifies defeat and humiliation before an enemy. Prostrating on a high mountain signifies overcoming a harsh and formidable person. Falling down upon a hill or wall signifies submitting humbly to a person of great worth and bowing in his presence. Very often, seeing prostration signifies deliverance and victory, repentance from a sin one has been committing, long life, and escape from dangers. At times, prostrating signifies following the Noble Sunnah of the Prophet of Prophets and being a neighbor of Allah's Messenger in Paradise. Prostration also signifies that affairs will proceed well and beautifully and that Allah Most High will bestow blessings upon the dreamer.
Seeing a gold brick prostrate to a silver brick signifies a person of high worth submitting humbly to a person of ignoble origin.
