Brain and Marrow

Ibn Sirin says that seeing one's brain flow from the nose and fall to the ground signifies loss of one's property; a foul smell from the brain signifies wealth on which zakat has not been paid.

Eating the brain of a deceased person signifies inheritance from that person.

Ja'far al-Sadiq interprets the brain as hidden wealth, sharp intelligence, or accepted good.

Ibn Kathir says that the skull splitting and the brain flowing out signifies the loss of accumulated and hidden wealth. Some interpreters treat any brain as a sign of wealth. Breaking another person's bone and sucking out the marrow signifies taking that person's wealth by force; if the person is unknown, it signifies taking people's wealth unjustly.
