Seeing oneself endow one's property for the sake of Allah signifies wealth by which one draws near to Allah, good deeds, increased esteem in this world and the Hereafter, and righteousness in religion. Likewise, endowing a book, a house, or some property signifies deliverance from sin, guidance, one's name becoming renowned, and a righteous child. Endowing unlawful property signifies wishing to do good with unlawful wealth and oppressing people. Endowing wine, intoxicants, idols, or sinful things to a place signifies misfortune, tribulation, and a ruinous end.
