For a merchant, seeing fresh dates in a dream is interpreted as trade.
Eating fresh dates signifies provision that will bring joy.
Eating moist, fresh dates out of season signifies illness. At times a dream of fresh dates signifies glad tidings of a male child, victory over an enemy, and freedom from gossip.
Seeing fresh dates also signifies lawful provision, healing, and deliverance from sorrow and grief. Therefore, seeing oneself eat fresh dates out of season can signify healing and blessing on the basis of the well-known story of Mary: when Mary gave birth to Jesus (peace be upon him), she ate dates out of season, and the dry date-palm became green and bore fruit.
