Al-Nabulsi said: Insulting in a dream signifies humiliation for the one insulted and honor for the one who insults. However, if a base person insults a good and righteous person, it signifies an affliction that will come upon the insulter from the person insulted. Insulting someone whom one ought to obey and who has shown one favor and assistance signifies disobedience to one's parents, turning away from Allah Most High, or refusing obedience to the person insulted in the dream. At times, insulting signifies killing. Insulting an oppressed person signifies a right that the oppressed person has over the insulter, and in the end the oppressed person will prevail over him.
