Seeing musk signifies knowledge, being remembered with goodness among people, courage, and literature.
Seeing musk on a deceased person signifies that the deceased is among the people of Paradise. For people engaged in trade, musk may signify profitable and beneficial commerce. Daniel said that whoever sees musk in his possession will attain knowledge, courage, and a good reputation among people. Cutting open a musk pod and taking musk from it signifies marriage to a wealthy, chaste, and honorable woman. If the musk from the pod is spoiled and foul-smelling, the dream is interpreted as the opposite. Musk may signify property, livelihood, and worldly goods. For one who smells or possesses it, musk signifies a good livelihood and goodness. A diminished amount of musk signifies good praise and being remembered well; the source also says that a diminished amount may signify the dreamer doing good to an ungrateful person. Every black fragrant substance, such as cloves and fragrant nuts, signifies pride and joy. If an unmarried person takes musk from somewhere, it signifies marriage.
