Seeing a handkerchief signifies a companion, friend, spouse, or servant. If the handkerchief is ornate and decorated, it signifies great virtue and subtle, deep meanings. A handkerchief is a human necessity: one dries the hands and face with it, wraps it around the head when needed, or ties it around the waist. For this reason the dream is interpreted as a servant. Any ugliness, cleanliness, or beauty seen in the handkerchief is likewise interpreted in relation to the ugliness or beauty of that servant.
