Seeing oneself vomit while fasting and then lick it back up signifies that although one is able to repay a debt, one does not repay it and thereby falls into sin. Vomiting food, blood, or phlegm signifies goodness and benefit, wealth and property. Vomiting into a basin signifies repentance from sins. Sometimes vomiting signifies returning to its owner something that the dreamer had taken unjustly; this represents repentance and remorse.

Eating vomit signifies wealth, goodness, and fame. Vomiting a great deal of blood signifies wealth for a poor person, the birth of a child, or the return home of a close relative who is away. Sometimes vomiting signifies unlawful wealth, sin, and bad deeds. Vomiting wine signifies repentance from sin. If a sick person sees himself vomit a snake, it signifies that his appointed time has come and that he will die. It has been said that vomiting signifies good for the poor and harm for the rich.
