Seeing a handle in a dream signifies religion. Thus, holding firmly to a handle signifies, in accordance with the Qur'anic meaning, 'Whoever rejects false gods and believes in God has grasped the firmest handhold, which never breaks' (al-Baqara 2:256), that the person has embraced Islam and remains steadfast in it. Sometimes a handle and a button signify one's wife. If a non-Muslim sees himself grasp a handle and place his hand inside it, it signifies being honored with Islam and holding firmly to the Qur'an.
