Seeing a kös, a large drum, in a dream signifies false speech and false news.
Ja'far al-Sadiq said that playing the kös and drum is unfavorable because it signifies lies and fabricated words. For a head of state, however, seeing the kös and drum is favorable, because the military band is among the trappings of sovereignty and increases the army's enthusiasm.
