Kawthar is one of the great blessings granted to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him. For this reason, seeing oneself drink from Kawthar in Paradise is interpreted as knowledge and spiritual understanding, righteous action, sound and good belief, and following the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet. If a non-Muslim sees himself drinking from the river of Kawthar, it signifies that he will become Muslim and be guided; if a sinner drinks from it, it signifies repentance and seeking refuge in God Most High.
Drinking from or seeing Kawthar also signifies a righteous wife and moving from unlawful earnings to lawful earnings. Sometimes a dream of Kawthar signifies becoming a leader over people, victory over an enemy, and lawful provision. If a sick person sees himself drinking from Kawthar, it signifies recovery and deliverance from distress.
