Biting with the teeth in a dream is interpreted as deceit. At times, biting signifies excessive love for the thing bitten. It also signifies hardship and difficulty. Being bitten by another person signifies harm from an enemy and severity. Biting the tips of one's fingers signifies regret, distress, and sorrow, because a person bites his fingers when he has done something he regrets. Al-Nabulsi said that one who sees himself bite his own fingers will regret something. Some interpreters said that, in accordance with the verse, 'On that Day every wrongdoer will bite both his hands in regret,' the person may be a wrongdoer. Blood coming from the bitten place signifies suffering amid sin. Biting may also signify excessive anger.
