Waking up
Classical interpretations
Seeing oneself awake signifies striving, obedience, and worship, and the dream is interpreted as good fortune.
Abu Sa'id al-Wa'iz said that seeing oneself asleep and then waking signifies becoming aware of an affair to which one had been heedless and then working at it; waking a sleeping person signifies guiding that person to the true path; and being awakened by another person signifies that person's guiding the dreamer to the true path. Waking in a dream is interpreted in five ways: acting wisely in one's affairs, persistence in matters of religion and worldly life, avoiding forbidden things, abundance of salary and provision, and long life.
Seeing oneself remain awake for a long time signifies a very long life. Waking from deep sleep and immediately rising signifies effort and striving in matters of religion and worldly life.
