Throne

Classical interpretations

Seeing oneself seated on a beautiful throne in a dream signifies authority and elevation, honor, and dignity.

Seeing a couch or bed used for sleeping upon a throne signifies a wife, a good livelihood, a servant, and provision. It has been said that seeing a throne signifies a wife in whom the dreamer will take pride and joy, a ship, and every kind of conveyance.

Ja'far al-Sadiq said that seeing a throne is interpreted in nine ways: honor, dignity, travel, rank, elevation, authority, esteem, position and power, and a beneficial command. If a sick person sees his throne break, it signifies deliverance from illness, recovery and well-being, and health and safety. If an unmarried woman sees herself carry a throne into her home, it signifies that she will soon marry a good person. Likewise, if an unmarried man sees himself seated on a furnished throne, it is interpreted as marriage. The outer part of a throne signifies the wife; its inner part signifies the dreamer; its upper part signifies a son, and its lower part a daughter. Sitting on a carpet, rug, mattress, or similar covering spread upon a throne signifies travel. Lying on a throne with something spread beneath and something covering one signifies gaining honor by subduing an enemy and attaining a high rank. Sitting on an unknown furnished throne signifies marriage for an unmarried person; for a married person, if his wife is pregnant, it signifies a male child. Sitting on a bare throne without furnishings signifies death or travel to a distant place.

Seeing oneself on a throne together with one's wife signifies living a happy life.
