Seeing oneself asleep signifies laziness and heedlessness. Sleep also signifies benefits failing to appear and heedlessness toward the righteous deeds that Allah Most High has made obligatory upon a person. If an unmarried girl sees herself sleeping, it signifies marriage and a husband.
Seeing all people asleep signifies evil concerning people generally and high prices in the market. Sleeping on one's back signifies worldly strength and power that one will attain. A dream of sleep also signifies the passing of sorrow, grief, and distress. If a governor sees himself sleeping, it signifies removal from office. If a frightened person sees himself sleeping, it signifies safety from fear. If a person devoted to obedience and worship sees himself sleeping, it signifies setting out on a blessed journey, withdrawing to a secluded place to remember Allah Most High, and not desiring the adornments of the world.
Seeing oneself sleep beneath many trees, turning to the right and left, signifies numerous descendants and continuation of that lineage. Sleeping on one's stomach signifies authority, wealth, and children. Sleeping in a cemetery, on a road, or upon a grave signifies death for the sick and unemployment and hardship for one who is healthy. Sleeping on one's side is interpreted as goodness, illness, and death.
