Seeing the moon in a dream is a sign of the sultan or of great personages.

Ibn Sirin said: If the moon is seen full in a dream, it is interpreted as the great one and leader of a nation.

Seeing the moon split into two pieces in the sky signifies that one of the exalted personages will die.

Seeing oneself hang from the moon is interpreted as attaining blessing and a great good. His holiness Ja'far al-Sadiq said: Seeing the moon in a dream is interpreted as follows: a) dominion, b) a vizier (minister), c) the companion of the ruler, d) the head of the nation, e) a beautiful wife and a servant, f) children, g) mother and father, h) a husband, i) a man of good works and the benefit that will come from him. Ibn Fudala said: The moon is sometimes a sign of a son. If a woman or a man sees a moon come out of his own bosom or body, it signifies that they will have a fortunate son.

Seeing this moon rise slowly and ascend to the sky is a sign that the child will reach the loftiest degree of humanity.

Seeing the moon's light enter one's house and make the home glitter signifies a reward to be given by a great personage.

Seeing oneself give birth to the moon signifies attaining one's desire and wish.

Seeing the moon at its highest and most exalted, swimming in the furthest depths of space, is interpreted as goodness, kindness, and virtue.

Seeing the moon eclipsed is a sign that the great men of the country will meet difficulties and suffer much hardship.

Seeing the sun and the moon risen over oneself signifies the approval of mother and father.

Seeing the moon speak with oneself is a sign of high and lofty degrees. If a Christian woman sees the moon, it is a sign that she will find guidance.

Seeing the sun and the moon prostrate before oneself is interpreted as the approval of mother and father.
